As the capital of one of the largest and fastest-growing US states, Austin, Texas is home to many college campuses (World Population Review). From the well-known schools to the hidden gems, one thing is certain among all of these universities: Austin is the perfect hub of culture, nature, and city life.

Coined the 鈥淟ive Music Capital of the World,鈥 Austin is full of music-lovers and performers. Not only does this capital city have the excitement of downtown, but it also has endless recreational activities. 鈥淎ustin鈥檚 been home for me my whole life, and I鈥檝e loved every bit of it,鈥 says Christina Day, first year admissions counselor and recruitment coordinator at 成人头条. 鈥淲e have music, we have shopping, we have hiking, fishing, boating鈥搑eally, anything you need is here!鈥

Concordia Texas is a great place to be. Being surrounded by a nature preserve, students thrive in a peaceful atmosphere while also being close to the city. Although CTX is one of many colleges in Austin, it is undoubtedly unique. 鈥淚 always say that we鈥檙e that small school where you鈥檙e not one of six hundred in a class, but you have the same opportunities that a lot of the bigger schools here in Austin have,鈥 says Christina.

Alexa Valladeres is another first-year admissions counselor at CTX. Having attended a larger college herself, Alexa finds the 鈥渃lose-knit鈥 community appealing. The incoming students she works with often ask her about the size of the school. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 one of my favorite questions to answer because I can personally relate to that as well, coming from a bigger university where I wasn鈥檛 seeing that for myself,鈥 she says.

I鈥檝e lived in the Austin area my entire life. Before college, I experienced public school, private school, and homeschool. When I began touring college campuses, I was looking for a place that was close to home while also providing me with my own space. When I first toured the CTX campus, I realized that all the things important to me were there! Among the chapel, the places to sit in nature, and the music practice rooms, all gave me places to relax and reset. CTX gave me the best of both worlds: hometown experience with some distance from my parents鈥 house.

鈥淔or some, it鈥檚 finding the plus and the beauty of staying near home,鈥 Alexa reflects. 鈥淔or others who are coming down from somewhere different, it鈥檚 the beauty of being able to leave and explore on their own away from home.鈥

Out of everything it has to offer, CTX鈥檚 small size is a gift to many students. Students always have a safe place to come back to in a big city with an abundance of people, experiences, and opportunities. 鈥淛ust talk to us admissions counselors,鈥 Christina encourages. 鈥淲e鈥檝e all gone through the college experience, so just ask us your questions and be comfortable! You鈥檙e a part of our family!鈥
